When only the fat, warm sound of a 15" speaker will get the job done, we highly recommend the SVT-15E. Armed with a massive five-pound magnet, the SVT-15E's custom-designed 15" speaker generates chest-thumping low end like nobody's business-all the way down to 33Hz. Team it up with the SVT-CL head and maybe an SVT-12HE, for top-end, and you're guaranteed to get the dance floor moving.

The SVT-15E has a good solid sound, just needs a little EQ at the bottom and top to really bring out the low and high ends. Better sound than most cabinets twice its size and weight. It seems that Ampeg's philosophy is to bring you the highest quality sound and durability, from the low priced cabinets to the highest priced units, the only difference being the power handling and how much you are willing to spend. The sound quality is there no matter which cabinet you buy.
