The NS64ce top is crafted of select Engelmann spruce, while the back and sides are Big Leaf maple. The mature overtones of the Engelmann spruce top combines perfectly with the clean, powerful voice of Big Leaf maple to produce a balanced tone, which responds well to the lightest touch.

Taylor's Grand Auditorium combines the width and depth of a Dreadnought with a narrower waist. The NS64ce's sleek design yields a strong treble zing across the tonal spectrum and sharpens the definition of individual notes. The Grand Auditorium is a strong fingerpicking guitar, yet the NS64ce also adapts well to medium strumming.
Fishman Prefix Pro Blend electronics
The NS64ce includes a high-quality Fishman Prefix Pro Blend system. Featuring a side-mounted control unit, this system combines a Fishman Matrix transducer with a miniature electret-condenser microphone on the inside of the guitar body (mounted on the underside of the control unit). There's also a small trim control that adjusts the volume of the microphone. Shelving-style bass, treble, and a semi-parametric contour EQ enable tone-shaping, while a phase switch and adjustable notch filter help eliminate feedback.
