Steel shells have the brightest tone of our metal shell snare drums. The SD-2255's small diameter shell has a high pitch that pops but the 5.5" depth still has some body so the drum doesn't sound thin.

The B type strainer is a classic design that's simple and reliable.
Tom mount included
The SD-2255 includes a tom mount so that you can mount it from a cymbal or tom stand with an optional CL-940 ball clamp.
