Position the bristle ends facing downward for maximum articulation; position the bristles laying flat on the head for extra full tones due to the high amount of contact surface area. Russ Miller: "The B3 Brush is what I have been waiting for! Being a fan of the brushes, I have always tried to use them in electric settings. This has always been a problem because of two factors: The sweep would not cut through the amplified music and I couldn't get full crash sounds. The B3 solves these problems. The slight bend applies more bristle to the head and almost triples the sweep volume. The stiffer bristles had high-mid frequencies that cut through and add stability.
